| Salah, that is a good point but you assume that the prototype that they tested and tested and retested kept its settings for itself and those were not transfered to the production car. There is a reason they test and test and test, right? Also, you would have to get the listed better lap times for the ZO6 where it did better then the 7:42 time on whatever tire. saying that it would be 8 to 10 seconds faster without anyone doing it "officially" is more or less bench racing, right? This is not posted to questions your skill as a driver as I am sure someone will try to point out for whatever reason. I am just making an observation from what is usually posted in mags and what folks say on a forum. I am sure that some other mags did this test to get as much from the ZO6 as they could to see what street racers would get with a change of shoes so to speak. I don't think a few tenths here or there or even a slightly better lap time takes anything away from the ZO6. Keep in mind that the next one will be slightly faster then the one you have. Already the regular Vette with the Z51 package does 0 to 60 in 4 seconds flat now vs 4.4. The viper is now faster then the Z06 0 to 60. GM is not going to let that stand for long. These things are getting faster and faster. Then again, how many Toms, Johns, and Jerrys driving a Z06, 911 or the GTR will ring a 7.42 on their way to work, the golf range or the Firday nigh dinner party?
